The short cut

Crabby Old Man

When an old man died in the geriatric ward of a nursing home in North Platte , Nebraska , it was believed that he had nothing left of any value Later, when the nurses were going through his meager possessions, They found this poem . Its quality and content so impressed the staff that copies were made and distributed to every nurse in the hospital One nurse took her copy to Missouri . Old Age Creeping Up – Chapter 1

It is sometimes quite amusing this old age thing. The first thing I noticed was that my ear lobes are longer… the flesh seems to disappear… and they just sag. Caldo Verde

Making Caldo Verde with my children.   This recipe is from my cookbook “The Powerful Nurturer”. You can email me if you would like to purchase a copy Caldo Verde (Green Soup) • Potatoes • Collards • Garlic • Chourico • Salt to taste We had lots of Portuguese restaurants in South Africa and they all served huge beautiful prawns and lobsters and always had what they referred to as Green Soup on the menu. It was only years later that I learned how to make it when I myself entered the Portuguese world. It was made by shredding collards, (the Portuguese manufacture a shredder that shreds the collards very finely, making them delicate and wonderful to the palate) (Can be bought from the portuguesefood.com website) Directions Select a few...
